3941948(1st October) set of 8 values issued on this date on 4 FDCs, comprising 15c & 25c on neat white envelope but cut open at left, 8c, 20c, 40c & 50c on another & $1 & $5 on 2 other covers which comprise long brown envelopes folded in half length ways which has cushioned the cancels to the extent they are pretty well unreadable! Each cover with Singapore 13 labels which confirm the office of despatch as NEWTON which is unusual for FDCs of this issue, marked BY AIR MAIL to Dr. Ingham at Batu Gajah.
