Meeting 7th December
20 September Meeting

Following from our VJ Exhibition at the Royal Philatelic Society London (still open until end of September) our next meeting is at Spinks Saturday 20th September with members’ displays on Forces Mail starting around 1.15pm
Forces Mail is a wide topic ranging from nineteen tens to the nineteen sixties that includes WW1, WW2, Malayan Emergency and Confrontasi or Confrontation
We have as well as philatelic items several displays of Far Eastern PoWs art, so please come and bring along a suitable display
It is likely to be a fantastic mixture of philately and historical information, the like of which I suspect we will not see again on the Forgotten War!!
A suitable start to a new season of displays
VJ DAY – UPDATE

Well I have just had sneak preview of the VJ of the exhibition at the Royal Philatelic Society London.
It is fantastic and thank you all the contributors and particualrly Roger Johnson and Malcolm Gascoyne for putting it together.
A fantastic mixture of philately and historical information, the like of which I suspect we will not see again on the Forgotten War!!
For those who will not be able to make it to the RPSL – don’t worry plans are already being made to be able to broadcast it electronically but there are a few challenges. Also the material is so large that you probably would have to run it over several episodes on Zoom.
Please see the previous post for all the exhibition details here.
